Positive Mondays Oct 12


It's my birthday week!!!! I'm so excited. I'm starting off this week with some positive vibes.

This quote applies to so many things in my life. As I'm getting older, I'm realizing more and more that I need to slow down sometimes, not only look towards goals I've set or other things I want to accomplish but to relish in the moments leading up to it. In short just live and appreciate the little things, things that may not even be a part of your plan. For me, that means loving the hill days, the tempo and speed endurance days and all the other days that hurt so badly I question my sanity for putting my body through it. It also means enjoying the walk home after I'm so tired all I want to do is sleep. It means enjoying time spent with my family and friends, and enjoying everything in my life, the good and the bad. My ultimate goal for 2016 is to be at the Olympic Games in Brazil. Not just be there but be a real contender. I know I can make it to the Olympics, my real goal is to be a medalist. I've got a long long way to go, but I'm going to ENJOY the ups, the downs, the pains, the unknowns and surprises that are bound to come up along the way.
